Driving Times and Prices

In order to successfully complete the Driver's Education Training Program, all students are required to attend one of the classroom sessions to be held at Liberty High School. The 2016 Driver's Education Program will be offering classroom sessions on June 1st and June 2nd. Students will pick a Driving session in which the students will meet the required six hours of driving times and 12 hours of observation time.

Driving Sessions

Driving sessions will be scheduled with each student. These sessions usually cover a six-week period of time, and each student will be scheduled in 1 ½ hour blocks of time (to meet the required six hours of driving time and 12 hours of observation time) between the hours of 7:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. Students will drive every-other day. Every effort will be made to schedule around conflicts; however, students will be required to have their time behind the wheel and must fulfill this obligation according to the instructor’s discretion. Students cannot make up more than one week, or three scheduled driving times, during this course.   The driving instructor will contact each student prior to May 28 to confirm driving times.  Driving session options are the following:

1: 7:30 - 9:00 a.m.

2: 9:00 - 10:30 a.m.

3: 10:30 - 12:00 p.m. (11:10 - 11:50 lunch)

4: 1:00 - 2:30 p.m.

5: 2:30 - 4:00 p.m.

6: 4:00 - 5:30 p.m. (full day summer school students only)

Cost for Driver's Education is $330 for in-district students and $430 out-of-district students. Make checks available to Liberty Public Schools. Checks are due prior to or on May 1, 2016 in the counseling office at LHS. Enrollments after May 1st will be charged an additional $45.
